HZPC’s Seed Grower’s “Meet the Varieties” Open afternoon September 2nd 2008

HZPC have a wide range of varieties that are in demand through out the world. Over the last few years the demand for many of these varieties has been increasing here in the UK. It is therefore logical that HZPC increases seed production in the UK.

As they are new, perhaps the individual characteristics of the varieties are unknown to UK seed growers. We have planted 20 of these varieties in plots of which half are planted at 15 Cms apart and half are planted at 30 Cms apart, thus allowing you, the seed grower, to see how the variety might perform for your business and to see what it will do for our customers.

We will harvest the plots on the morning of September 2nd and the field will be open from 12:30pm ‘till 6.00pm.

HZPC have experience of growing these varieties for seed production in The Netherlands and in France and most in the UK. Technical Colleagues from The Netherlands will join Andrew, Ron & I to answer questions about all these varieties on site throughout the day.

A Bar-B-Q and refreshments will be open throughout the afternoon.

The location is on the West Side of the road that runs between Kirkburn & Garton on the Wolds about half way between the two villages.
